About 150 international fur auctions are held annually. This method of selling fur is recognized as the most profitable and effective. 5 centers are considered the most authoritative: auctions in New York, Seattle, Copenhagen, Helsinki and St. Petersburg. They sell furs of sable, mink, polar fox, fox, raccoon, chinchilla, astrakhan, seal, etc. Despite a large assortment, each auction focuses on a particular fur. For example, St. Petersburg is called sable. Although the main products there are also considered squirrel, arctic fox and mink.
