Abstract

Speaking about “Grammar problems of translation”, it is necessary to take into account that in different languages, despite the similarity of a number of indicators, there will always be profound differences and in order for a translator to be able to work normally with foreign texts it is necessary to study language features. This circumstance makes the chosen topic extremely relevant for the study. In addition, it is important to understand that the grammatical features of Russian and English already make up a certain list of difficulties, but in this work it is actually not possible to cover the entire list of problems, therefore only some of them will be considered, but the most obvious ones.
The grammatical structure of any language in one way or another reflects the system of logical connections with which a person perceives and describes the world around him. This system of logical connections is universal and does not depend on the specifics of the language. It certainly correlates with the level of development of each nation: for example, we know that the languages of the European peoples of antiquity reflected three classes of the grammatical category of a number — singular, dual, and plural. But in the current state of European languages, the grammatical structure reflects a generally similar level of development of logical thinking. So, the system of logical connections, reflected in the grammar, is universal.
